Some of the longest established fine dining restaurants in the Medina are located near to our Marrakech Riads in the heart of the Medina. We are delighted that there are also an increasing selection of Cafes in which to hang out and relax. Newly opened in the spring of 2010 Marrakech Korner  is a pleasant and inexpensive daytime eatery located on the Bab Doukala street between Dar El Bashah and the Bab Doukala Mosque. There is a small dining room on the ground floor as well as a larger space upstairs accessed from the street and a shaded roof terrace.

A variety of teas, sodas and juices are on offer with food freshly made to order. We particularly like the home made soups and have found the staff to be unfailingly attentive and polite. A drink and light meal here will cost less than ten euros.

Marrakech Corner has been closed during July and August 2011, we hope it will reopen for the Autumn season

Dar Yacout is a Marrakech institution, the owner Mohamed Zkhiri is a prominent citizen and until recently served as the honorary British Consul. One of the most flamboyant buildings in the Red City, Yacout was created under the direction of the late Bill Willis, a renowned american architect. A little out of the way in the North Medina, it is worth visiting for its interior and decor alone.

One of the courtyard gardens at Dar Yakout, MarrakechOpen in the evenings from Tuesday to Sunday Dar Yacout offers a fine dining menu of Moroccan specialities at about fifty Euros per person including aperitifs and wine. The service is superb at Dar Yacout, carefully choreographed and bordering on theatrical.
