The Bougainviller Restaurant is a long established, cheerful and reasonably priced Cafe. It is conveniently located toward the Jemaa Al Fnaa end of the Rue Mouassine and serves as a bit of landmark walking north up Mouassine as the street deviates around the Mouassine Mosque. It serves some western dishes like Pizza as well as some Moroccan standards like tagine and cous cous. It is possible to eat here for around 100 dirhams. Seldom used by locals this is really a tourist restaurant. Safe rather than spectacular but a very good address to know.
Cafe Arabe is one of the longest established and best respected restaurants in Marrakech serving both Moroccan cuisine and excellent Italian Food (the owners are Italian). Our favourite dish is the steak in green pepper sauce.
Cafe Arabe is located less than five minutes from Riad Papillon and Riad Cinnamon at the top of Rue Moaissine. There are are many different dining and seating areas within which almost feel like visiting different restaurants. Our favourite is the roof top terrace which has a great atmosphere and a misting system. The non alcoholic cocktails are great for lunchtime, served with a generous helping of nuts.
