Meat Feast, presented on a sword!

For some years now one of THE places to eat in Marrakech has been the Kenzamane restaurant run by Chef Pascal. New for 2010 is Costa Esmeralda a Spanish style restaurant under Pascal’s direction located just of the Mohammed V boulevard in the Marrakech new town of Guiliez. Consistent with a strong French influence it opened for business on the 14th of July.

It is a little know fact that Pascal was actually born in Gabon. No surprise then that the Gabon Crab starter is a signature dish at Costa Esmeralda!  Served with a spicy dip it is innovative, delicious, and fantastic value for money.

Interesting as much for the theatre of its presentation as anything is the mixed grill brought to the table on sabre.  Go hungry!  Our Marrakech Riad staff will be happy to assist you with reservations at Kenzamane or Costa Esmeralda.   We offer the perfect base from which to explore Marrakech and our attentive staff will be pleased to offer as much help as you need to do so. Sadly soon to close is Chez Pascal, also known as Kenzamane a wonderful and long established bistro offering mainly French cuisine with a diverse and frequently updated menu. The best thing about Chez Pascal was Pascal himself a bundle of charisma and energy, yet always time to stop at each table and make every guest feel welcome.

This fine restaurant will be sadly missed when it closes at the end of its lease, the 31st of June 2012.  We hope to see the maestro in new premises soon.
