Cafe Argana is located on the main Jemma al Fnaa square with panoramic views from the upstairs terrace, renowned as a particularly fine place from which to see the Marrakech sunset.
The cafe is close to reopening after renovation following a tragic terrorist incident in March 2011. Some of the shops on the ground floor of the building have reopened for business.
The Bougainviller Restaurant is a long established, cheerful and reasonably priced Cafe. It is conveniently located toward the Jemaa Al Fnaa end of the Rue Mouassine and serves as a bit of landmark walking north up Mouassine as the street deviates around the Mouassine Mosque. It serves some western dishes like Pizza as well as some Moroccan standards like tagine and cous cous. It is possible to eat here for around 100 dirhams. Seldom used by locals this is really a tourist restaurant. Safe rather than spectacular but a very good address to know.
