A short 25 Dirham taxi ride from the old town in the New town of Guiliez is the Neobarroca Cafe/ Restaurant. Off the tourist trail this inexpensive establishment offers a great value meal and window into the culture of modern young Morocco.
The decor is striking with bold images of the young Napolean Bonaparte and battles of the Napoleonic era set against blood red walls. The cafe is does not serve alcohol but coffees teas and a range of soft drinks. The kitchen is open from breakfast to a late dinner around 9pm.

The newly refurbished Les Negociants is a landmark Cafe on the Avenue Mohammed V in the new town of Guiliez, Marrakech. A perfect spot for people watching, the Cafe is located on a broad boulevard with a Parisian feel.
Just around the corner is the famous Al Fassia (ladies from Fez) restaurant run by a womens cooperative. British visitors will be pleased to hear they are just a stones throw from the British Consulate.
