Marrakech City Break

Marrakech travel is so easy it is the ideal location for an exotic holiday or city break. Marrakesh is now tremendously well served from the UK with regular flights from budget airlines Ryanair (Luton and Bristol), Easyjet (Gatwick), and Thomsonfly (Manchester) as well as low cost Moroccan carrier Atlas Blue (Gatwick). Royal Air Maroc provides a frequent scheduled service from Heathrow.

Marrakech Airport has recently been upgraded following the implementation of an open skies agreement with the European Union. British and EU citizens do not require visas to enter Morocco although passports should be valid for at least six months.

One of the things that makes the Red City so suitable for last minute holidays is that the heart of the Marrakech Medina (old town) is just fifteen minutes from the airport by taxi.

Marrakech Travel

Marrakesch is also an excellent base for onward travel within Morocco and Africa. For Centuries it has served as the gateway to the Sahara. There are excellent rail links to Casablanca and road links to the Sea at Essouira.

The main bus station is located at the edge of the Marrakech Medina just a ten minute walk from Riad Papillon and fifteen minutes from Riad Hajra.
