Today (Sunday 31 January, 2010) saw the annual Marrakech Marathon and half Marathon. More than 5,000 runners participated in this international event. The weather was relatively cool and overcast. There was a fantastic atmosphere as the runners passed through the Palmerie as well as the new town of Guiliz and circled the Medina. There were spectators applauding throughout.
