Three wise men followed the Star for an ITV festive special in Marrakech as Riad Star was honoured to host Gordon Ramsey, Gino D’Acampo and Fred Sirieix in, ‘Gordon, Gino & Fred: Christmas Road Trip: Three Unwise Men’.
The traditional riad property is the final destination on a 6,000 culinary journey across Morocco in a festive edition of the popular show, Gordon, Gino And Fred’s Road Trip, produced for ITV by Studio Ramsay. The culmination of the journey sees the trio enjoy a bit of luxury as they check in to Riad Star. Here they use the riad’s cookery school to create a festive feast inspired by their travels, before enjoying the fruits of their labour in the December sunshine on the roof terrace.
Our Marrakech Riad team loved the challenge of working with the Ramsay Studios production team to plan and execute the shoot. In practical terms it was not so different from helping all our guests make the most of Marrakech, Everyone is a Star at Riad Star!
Set in the heart of the old town Medina, Riad Star was previously home to vaudeville star, singer and actress, Josephine Baker. The boutique property offers thirteen guest rooms and a traditional courtyard with dipping pool as well as a hammam and spa, cookery school and fabulous roof terrace.
